Community Hospitality Healthcare Services has invested New Markets Tax Credit allocation to support financing of operating and capital expenditures for two healthcare facilities serving predominantly Low-Income Persons in Pinellas County, FL. The Project is expected to increase access to healthcare services for Pinellas County’s most vulnerable residents.
At the Milton Park location, the investment will help support the acquisition and rehabilitation of a 13,368 sq. ft. building. Once rehabilitated, the facility will include 15 medical examination rooms, two behavioral health visit rooms, a behavioral health group visit room, two chiropractic exam rooms, a six-provider office, a pharmacy, and a food pharmacy. According to the Sponsor, the Milton Park facility is estimated to serve 12,000 unique patients. On site, a training facility for the Career Academy program will be available, and patients of the medically underserved community will be offered a wider array of services such as Family planning and Family Medicine and Behavioral Health, than previously were offered.
At the Pinellas Park location, the allocation investment will used in the financing to support operating and capital expenditures in the distressed community. The NMTC investment is expected to increase operational efficiencies while expanding services at a growing location. Patients at this location are offered primary medical care for children and adults, women’s health services, including obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, nutrition, dental evaluations, case management, and a full-service on-site pharmacy. Annually, the Sponsor anticipates serving 17,600 unduplicated patients through 42,300 patient visits.
