Community Hospitality Healthcare Services deployed $16 million of New Markets Tax Credit allocation to Dayspring Health to support the construction of an approximately 57,000 square foot comprehensive healthcare facility located in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The Federally Qualified Health Center replaces an outdated 7,500 square foot clinic and significantly expands integrated primary, behavioral health, substance use disorder, and physical therapy services to the surrounding rural Appalachian community.
The new facility introduces a substantially broader service offering than was previously possible at the legacy clinic, including wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, an onsite pharmacy, and MRI, CT, X-Ray, and mammography labs. The project also features a Farm to Table Teaching Kitchen and a community garden, paired with dedicated community meeting space, to promote nutrition education and food access in a region facing significant food insecurity. Upon stabilization, Dayspring Health is expected to increase its capacity significantly to serve 8,050 unduplicated patients and accommodate nearly 29,000 patient visits annually, with 52% of patients qualifying as low-income and 78% as Low-Income Community Residents. The investment is anticipated to create 70 permanent, quality full-time positions.
