Community Hospitality Healthcare Services invested $5 million in New Markets Tax Credit allocation to Norton Healthcare to support the construction of a new 90,000 square foot hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. The investment helps fund the first hospital built on the West End of Louisville in more than 150 years, delivering comprehensive medical care to a medically underserved community.
The new hospital sits on the Norton Healthcare Goodwill Opportunity Campus, a partnership with Goodwill Industries of Kentucky designed to bring wraparound social services and healthcare under one roof. Inside, the new facility will house 20 inpatient beds, a 24/7 emergency room, operating rooms, and full imaging services, along with a retail pharmacy. Outpatient offerings will span primary care, women’s health, behavioral health, and a range of specialty services, including cardiology, orthopedics, diabetes care, and more. The project is expected to serve roughly 40,000 unduplicated patients annually, with 74% anticipated to be uninsured or covered by Medicaid.
