Community Hospitality Healthcare Services deployed $5.25 million in federal New Markets Tax Credit allocation, matched with $5.25 million in Illinois state NMTC allocation, to PrimeCare Community Health, Inc.  to finance working capital and operating expenses at its Northwest Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving predominantly low-income residents of Chicago’s Hermosa and Humboldt Park neighborhoods.

PrimeCare’s Northwest Health Center delivers primary care, women’s health and prenatal services, and behavioral health counseling, with bilingual providers helping reduce language barriers in a community where 68.7% of Hermosa residents and 44.7% of Humboldt Park residents speak Spanish. NMTC proceeds will allow PrimeCare to retain qualified medical staff, procure essential medical supplies, and continue uninterrupted patient services in a community facing significant health disparities.
